The Day Before The Pre-Construction Conference

Date all necessary places in the Contracts (the contract agreement, the performance bonds & payment bonds, the power of attorney and the notice to proceed). The date on the documents should be the date of the pre-construction conference.

On the Notice To Proceed we need to find the "Date To Start Work On Or Before". To figure this add ten (10) calendar days to the date of the Pre-Construction Conference. This will be your "Date To Begin Work On Or Before". To find the "Completion Date" take the "Date To Start Work On Or Before" and add the "Complete Work Within Days". Use your desk calendar number to figure this.

Check the date that their insurance expires against the completion date on the Notice To Proceed to see if they will finish the job before the insurance will expire.

  1. The Signature Page of The Contract Agreement; and
  2. The Notice To Proceed.
