Proposals
The Engineer will give you an advertisement clipping from a newspaper for a project that he wants you to work up a proposal on.
Look on the computer and get a copy of a letter that we have used on a previous proposal. If the project is a CDBG job, get a copy of a CDBG proposal that we've done lately.
Put a copy of this letter in a green letter size folder and glue the clipping inside the left-hand side of the folder. Put the name of the Town/City on the label. This can be handwritten.
Give the Engineer the folder and letter to mark up. Make the corrections per the marked up letter that the Engineer returns to you.
Arrange the Proposal as follows:
- The Front Sheet - "PROPOSAL FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES" Centered In The Window Of The Front Cover
- The Letter Signed By Engineer - DON'T STAMP HIS SIGNATURE
- The Firm Resume - Edward T. Davis & Associates, Inc.
Make enough copies of the Proposal letter and Resume for the following:
- 1 Copy For Us
- 1 Copy For The Mayor
- 1 Copy For The Clerk
- 1 Copy For Each Board Member/Alderman (usually 5)
- 1 Copy For The Attorney
